Spring 2016 runway shows were decked out with the trend that just won’t quit: the peplum. Love it or hate it this trend is in it for the long haul, which I for one am TOTALLY on board with. From Toronto based designer Matthew Gallagher to NYFW alumni Delpozo, Christian Dior to Ralph & Russo, it’s clearly made it’s mark for the season.
Although there are still traditional peplum shaped tops, skirts and dresses, this season there’s also a version that’s a bit more subtle and deconstructed, making this trend refreshed for 2016.
So whether you’re a fan of the 1950’s silhouette or the sleeker version of 2016, this is a trend you’ll be wearing all summer long.
